Unlike our official Game of the Year Awards, each of these lists is meant to reflect which games stood out personally to each of our staff members. The Dying Night is given to V by a Weapons Dealer in Act 1. Simply stop by his shop on the way to meet Jackie Welles during the game's Prologue. He will then inform V that his .45 is ready. Those that skip “The Gun,” and head straight towards Jackie will miss out on this unique hand
Prejudice - While status effects and insane unique abilities can be incredibly useful in Cyberpunk 2077 , sometimes the best weapon to use is one that just deals a stupidly high amount of damage. For those who want something a little more simplistic look no further than Prejudice. This weapon sports the highest damage stat of any other fully automatic weapon in the game, and it also comes with four different mod slots to allow the player to customize it however they see fit. This means that the Prejudice is the strongest and most versatile assault rifle in the game with nothing else even coming close. The best aspect of this weapon though is that its shots can penetrate cover, so it will be able to decimate foes no matter where they are trying to hide from the player. It even has a chance to cause the bleeding effect on enemies, so enemies will continue to take damage while the player is reloading their weapons. The Plan B Pistol is acquired by completing the “The Heist” mission. After the scene where Dexter betrays V and attempts to kill him and leave him for dead in the Junkyard, a scene will show Dexter getting executed by Takem
Buzzsaw - This submachine gun is a joy to play around with as it will absolutely shred through enemies and combines some of the best aspects of both Power weapons and Tech weapons. For a submachine gun, this weapon packs a serious punch, and since it's a Power weapon it will also ricochet off of surfaces. This can make the weapon a very deadly presence already, but once it has been crafted it will randomly acquire either chemical, electrical, thermal, or physical damage, which will drastically increase its capabilities. By far the best aspect of this weapon though is that its bullets can penetrate through light cover just like the charged shots on a Tech gun. This means that players are able to shoot right through cover whenever they wish and decimate any foes that are hiding back there. Players can craft this weapon after picking up the blueprint from an enemy during a Suspected Crime mission in Norths
By far some of the best weapons in the game are the unique ones. Each of these weapons comes with its own set of special skills and abilities that make them far more effective than their standard counterparts. These usually aren't as easy to track down either, so players will need to complete a few steps first to receive one. Widow Maker - This is a very odd weapon because it is kind of an in-between weapon type that isn't quite an assault rifle, but also isn't a sniper rifle either. The Widow Maker is a semi-automatic weapon, so it will fire as quickly as the player can pull the trigger. It doesn't quite sport the same nice rate of fire that an assault rifle has, but it does deal more damage and have a longer range than any other assault rifle out there. Snipers are the only thing that can outpace it in power and range, but it has them all beat in fire rate. On top of this as well the Widow Maker also deals chemical damage and can cause the poisoning effect. It can also be charged like other Tech weapons to increase its damage altogether. The most interesting aspect overall about this rifle though is that it fire two separate rounds every time the trigger is pulled, which can make headshots incredibly deadly.
