This is a Tech weapon, so once again players are able to charge it up and deal double damage to their enemies. The fun part though is that the Apparition has an ability that doubles charged damage, so it effectively deals quadruple damage with charged shots. Just as interesting though is that if the player's health drops into critical levels the fire rate, reload speed, and damage are all increased dramatically. The Kongou is a Power weapon, but usually, to make a Power weapon work correctly the player needs the Power weapon Cybernetic. The Kongou lets players use it without that, which means that players who aren't specced to use Power weapons can still have a lot of fun with it. It also has significantly reduced recoil and increased rate of fire that effectively allows the player to use this as a small submachine gun.
