This attack has slight variations , but it generally involves a tail sweep that can be avoided with a well-timed dodge roll. Just watch out for its 180-degree tail sweep , as he will retract the tail at the end, catching you off guard. As the stance you begin the game with , Smash Stance remains viable in most encounters, performing best in one-on-one fights and against enemies whose attack patterns you've learned. By using Resolute Counterflow you can nullify an incoming attack and strike back with greater force, which becomes even more effective once you gain the Skyfall Strike upgrade and can consistently stagger your target with a well-timed variable combo.
Ingredients for medicine can often be foraged. They're fairly noticeable as you traverse the terrain. The game highlights objects that can be foraged with glimmer effects. Below is a list of all ingredients available in-game. In Black Myth Wukong mounts Myth: Wukong , you'll inevitably need to craft armor and weapon upgrades. As your foes become faster and stronger, you'll need better equipment. Often, the materials you need to collect in order to craft these updates can be obtained from common foes, elites, or treasure chests. Furthermore, you'll want to forage the flora as you make your way through each world. These are often ingredients that can be used in crafting medicines with varying effects and protections.
This attack can be avoided by dodging to the sides . The charge has a fairly short range but deals a ton of damage if you get caught by it. You can also sprint away from the boss when you see him charging.
While the staff isn't exactly a ranged weapon, the Pillar Stance aims to offer plays a modicum of range extending the staff for far-reaching blows. The Pillar Stance notably allows you to perch on top of your staff and then deliver a heavy downward strike. However, this option can also help players avoid elemental or shockwave damage that can be inflicted when standing directly on the ground. Below are the skills that bolster this stance.

As for my personal opinion, I find myself using Smash Stance the most, followed by Thrust (which I often use to initiate combat and close distance on enemies), and then Pillar the least. With that said, I started using Pillar a lot more after unlocking Gale's Blessing, especially when up against groups.
After performing Tactical Retreat, Forceful Thrust, or a charged Heavy Attack, hold Light Attack to unleash Whirling Thrusts. The Destined One leaps forward to engage the enemy head-on, besetting them with barrage of staff strikes.

This makes it a tricky style to learn but very rewarding to master, especially against bosses who transition to a second or third phase by using an AOE attack.
