The two respected each other's craft and bonded over their shared life as outlaws. Their years together are likely the reason Dutch always held Hosea's opinion in such high reg |

| Red Dead Redemption was one of those games that took an incredibly long time to make, mainly due to the detail and size of the map, but it took so long that it started to become a risk for Rockstar. The game took over half a decade to develop, which is an exceedingly long period of time, and Rockstar worried that it wasn't going to be worthwhile. But thankfully, the aftermath proved it certainly | |

| Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterclass in character-driven storytelling. With this sequel, Rockstar created a band of memorable characters and personalities that all clash together perfectly. This being the wild west, there are going to be characters we both love and loa | This aspect connects to the same idea as the lack of a heads-up display. The spirit of Red Dead Redemption 2 isn't progression. It's the experience. Whatever that means to the player. In other open-world games, there is a desire for completion. There are quests, collectibles, achievements, and a myriad of other things to finish. Rockstar doesn't want you to complete their game. They want you to live in it. If you're completing something, then you're also moving on to the next thing. But Red Dead Redemption 2 is asking you to stay. So it's not going to help you finish anything. Figure it out on your |

| An often overlooked, yet essential aspect of a good visual narrative is the music. Whether it be a movie, television show, or video game, if the story contains some type of emotional element, it becomes the music's job to drive that element home. If you played Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 last year, you experienced a story with a fair amount of emotional complexity that challenged the themes of loyalty, morality, and freedom, and did so in a way that resembled nothing short of a masterpiece. Like most stories of this nature, an enormous bow was needed to tie all of those layers together and create an experience that was just as moving as a movie you'd see at the theater, or a television show that you'd watch at home. Woody Jackson's The Music of Red Dead Redemption 2: Original Score serves as that metaphorical bow, elevating the game to be the immersive, unforgettable experience that is Red Dead Redemption | Most characters in Red Dead Redemption 2 have a side that they don't immediately show to the player. | In retaliation, Lenny killed the men, which put him on the run. He eventually found his way to the gang, proving his worth in multiple missions. In a standout moment, Lenny partners up with Arthur in a booze-filled task, which is probably the game's funniest mission. This makes his ultimate demise a heartbreaking one during the game's penultimate bank robbery mission in Saint De | He lent his talents to Grand Theft Auto V as audio for the general population, but it seems Rockstar Games felt he was worthy of another audition which landed him the role of Lenny in Red Dead Redemption 2 . | Hosea is believed to have been born around the year of 1844. This means by the time the events of the game get going he's likely either 54 or 55 years old. With Dutch being slightly younger, that would make Hosea the oldest member of the Van Der Linde g | Story DLC provides Rockstar with the opportunity to build on the world of its stories, giving fans of its distinct narrative style a chance to dive even further into their favorite worlds, and return to their favorite games. Although online multiplayer certainly brings the opportunity to have an absolute blast with other players who love the same game, there is something special about experiencing the world of a story that you love from another point of view. When you're fully invested into a game's story, especially one from Rockstar, you'll be interested in hearing anything and everything that adds context to the narrative or builds upon the lore of that given world. | "LENNY!" What’s not to love about Leonard "Lenny" Summers. As one of the younger members in the Van Der Linde gang, Lenny is an example of loyalty and dedication to the group, especially to Arthur. It’s unfortunate that his story is a tragic one. Lenny lost his father to a group of drunk prejudiced | Although GTA Online has been wildly successful, the same can't be said for its uglier, younger stepbrother, Red Dead Online . Although the online platform has moved on from a few of its growing pains, it clearly can't measure up to the undeniable success of its counterpart. Most of this is certainly due to the time period in which the Red Dead Redemption series __ takes place. The fact of the matter is, rocket launchers, airplanes, and sports cars provide for much more entertainment than Civil-War-era guns, horses, and fishing. With the wide range of vehicles and weapons at its disposal, it's no wonder why Rockstar's online layout works far better in the world of Grand Theft Auto . Despite that, Rockstar is giving it all of their effort to make Red Dead Online work. Effort that could quite possibly be put to better use if it were to be refocused on a DLC project that touched on the back stories of characters like Charles Smith, and Sean MacGuire, or better yet, Undead Nightmare 2 , a would-be sequel to the original Red Dead Redemption's near perfect zombie-based story |

Some might gravitate more towards solo experiences, looking to be moved by the story and gameplay on an intimate level without the distraction of other players. Unfortunately, when Rockstar made the decision to solely focus on the online components of their games, they've stopped giving these players new reasons to come back to the game. Obviously, there is a large handful of hours to be spent in Rockstar's single player stories alone, but narrative additions certainly add a good deal of value to a game, and players miss them. It's clear that focusing on an online platform is the most lucrative move for Rockstar in this day and age, but there is a lot to be said about the quality they used to bring to their story DLC, and it would be great to see them go back to it some |
